Usage
Used to express "(judging from the situation)" something possibly happens
変わり~~ます~~ + うる
Examples
君の話を信じるよ。だってこの世界ではどんなことでも起こり得るから。
I believe in your story. I mean, anything is possible in this world.
事故はいつでも起こり得るので、気をつけてください
Accidents can happen at any time, so please be careful!
Good to know
得る can be read both as える (eru) and うる (uru)。える (eru) is more commonly used nowadays, and うる (uru) is considered a bit more old fashioned
