Usage

ちゃんと and きちんと both indicate that someone does something neatly, properly, regularly or without fail. ちゃんと is more colloquial than きちんと. "Neatly, tidily, properly, adequately, in good order, regularly, without fail"

Examples

自分の部屋は、毎日ちゃんと掃除して、きちんと片付けておきなさいよ。 Make sure to clean your room properly every day and keep it well-organized.
漢字を書く時は、文字のバランスもよく考ながら、点や線をきちんと書いてください。 When writing Kanji, please pay attention to the balance of the characters, and make sure to draw the dots and lines correctly.
