Usage
The particle ほど is used to express the degree of a state. When a sentence precedes ほど, the element just before ほど is a verb. To the extend that; so -that- (almost); to (this/that) degree
Examples
私たちは話も出来ないほど疲れていた。
We were so tired that we couldn't even talk.
このカレーは涙が出るほど辛い。
This curry is so spicy to the extent that tears come out.
