Usage
When 次第 is affixed to noun, it means "depend on."
Examples
この授業でいい成績が取れるかどうは、期末のレポート次第だ。
To get good grades in this class, it all depends on the report of the end of the term.
どんなアパートを借りるかは、家賃次第だ。
Which apartment I rent, depends on the rent.
