Nを中心(と/に)する
Usage
Nを中心{と/に}する literally means "to make N the center". Usually in 2 forms:
Nを中心{と/に}(して)
N1を中心{と/に}したN2 (=N1中心のN2)
Examples
古代のヨーロッパはローマを中心として発展した。
In ancient times the development of Europe was centred around Rome.
地球や火星、木星、金星など惑星は、太陽を中心として回っている。
The earth, mars, Jupiter and Venus are planets that rotate around the sun.
