Usage

「-ても-なくても、関係なく」whether ~ or not; regardless of whether ~ (formal / written). Combines volitional form + 「まい」 (negative volitional).

信じようが信じまいが、これは本当にあったことなんです Believe it or not, this really happened.

雨が降ろうと降るまいと、試合は行われるようです Whether it rains or not, it seems the match will be held.
