まま
Usage
-まま indicates that the state of X remains unchanged or that someone does something without changing the current state of X.
Xままだ = remain the same as -
Xまま(で)V = V with -; V while -; V as (it is); V without - X
Examples
今のままだと、地球温暖化は止まらない。
If it remains like it is, the global warming will change
あのまま日本に残っていたら、もっと日本語が上手になっただろう。
If I had stayed in Japan like that, I would have probably become more proficient in Japanese.
