Verbたものだ
Usage
Vたものだ is used to describe in a nostalgic fashion what someone did or what happened in the past "used to -; wold"
Examples
子供の頃は、毎年夏休みになると、家族と海に泳ぎに行ったものです
When I was a child, every year when it became summer, I used to go with my family swimming to the beach.
大学時代は、よく遊び、よく勉強し、そしてよくスポーツをしたものだ。
When I was a university student, I used often go to sleep, study a lot and do a lot of sports
