Usage
(V / いA / なA ~~-だ~~ / N ~~-だ~~) + みたいです。Indicates a guess from how a situation looks (e.g. something's external appearance)
Examples
電気が消えているね。隣の部屋は留守みたいだね。
The light's are out. It looks like the guys next door are out.
田中さんお酒を飲んだみたいです。顔が赤いです。
It looks like Mr. Tanaka has been drinking. His face is red.
