Usage
Indicates that an extreme example is being hypothetically postulated, and the consequences stated after it will ensue even in such a case. It includes the nuance どんな場合であっても-, implying that the same consequences will also ensure in all other situations similar to the extreme example

たとえ今回の実験に失敗しても、またチャレンジするつもりだ
Even if I fail at the experiment this time, I intend to try it again.
たとえ大きいな地震が起きても、壊れない丈夫な家が欲しい
I want a strong house, that will not collapse, even if a big earthquake hits
