まま

Gebrauch

-まま indicates that the state of X remains unchanged or that someone does something without changing the current state of X.

Xままだ = so bleiben wie -

Xまま(で)V = V mit -; V, während -; V so, wie es ist; V, ohne X

今のままだと、地球温暖化は止まらない。 Wenn es so bleibt wie jetzt, wird die Erderwärmung nicht aufhören.

あのまま日本に残っていたら、もっと日本語が上手になっただろう。 Wenn ich damals einfach in Japan geblieben wäre, wäre mein Japanisch wohl noch besser geworden.
