Uso
Nの + (みたいだ/みたいなN/みたいにV・いA・なA) the same as ようだ, but みたいだ is less formal
N1のN2 みたいだ se usa al final de la oración para describir las características de un sustantivo (N1) comparándolo con otro (N2)
のみたいだ cambia a のみたいな cuando modifica a un sustantivo
のみたいだ cambia a のみたいに cuando modifica a un verbo o un adjetivo
